"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Well, a lot of it you can figure out on your own, but start by adding some deviations (ie, pics/art). All the things you can play around with are in that drop down menu to your left under the Journal tab. You can play around with settings and add an avatar and all of that kind of thing in that same menu. Just fiddle around until you have it
